These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of https://words.fairwayus.net (the "Site"), operated by Jason Farris ("we", "us"). By using the Site you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
Use of the Site
The Site provides free word tools for personal, non-commercial use. You agree not to:
- use the Site in a way that breaks any law or the rules of a game or competition you take part in;
- copy, scrape or harvest the Site's word lists or pages by automated means, or resell the Site's content;
- interfere with the Site's operation, security or advertising, including by generating invalid ad clicks or impressions;
- attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Site or its servers.
Accuracy and no warranty
Word lists differ between dictionaries and games. We do our best to keep the tools accurate, but we do not guarantee that any word is valid in a particular game, tournament or dictionary, or that the Site will always be available or error-free. The Site is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the fullest extent allowed by law.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from your use of the Site. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Site is limited to one hundred U.S. dollars (US$100).
Intellectual property
The Site's design, text and code are owned by Jason Farris and are protected by copyright. Word-list data is used under the SCOWL license described on the Credits page.
Trademarks. SCRABBLE® is a registered trademark of Hasbro, Inc. in the United States and Canada and of Mattel, Inc. elsewhere. WORDLE is a trademark of The New York Times Company. Other game names belong to their owners. Word Unscrambler is an independent site and is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by any of these companies.
Advertising and third-party links
The Site shows ads from third parties and links to other websites. We are not responsible for the content, products or services offered by advertisers or other sites. See our Privacy Policy for how advertising cookies work.
Changes
We may update these Terms or change the Site at any time. Continued use of the Site after changes are posted means you accept the updated Terms.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Utah.
